Arctic Launches New Freezer 4U-M Air Cooler with Support for Ampere Altera Platform

Arctic has announced the release of the updated Freezer 4U-M Rev. 2 air cooler, designed for server and workstation environments. This new version includes enhanced cooling capabilities and adds support for the Ampere Altera platform, which is used in servers powered by Ampere Computing's processors. The Altera platform, known for its FCLGA4926 socket, now also supports Ampere’s latest AmpereOne processors with the FCLGA5964 socket.

The Freezer 4U-M Rev. 2 maintains compatibility with existing Intel (LGA4189, LGA4677) and AMD (SP6, sTR5, SP3, TR4, sTRX4, sWRX8) platforms. The cooler is designed for 4U high installations, with dimensions of 124x156x145 mm, making it suitable for dual-socket motherboards.

This air cooler features a single tower design with 57 aluminum fins and eight direct-touch 6mm heat pipes for optimal heat dissipation. It includes two 120mm PWM fans with durable double-ball bearings, offering a wide RPM range (400-2300 RPM), and a maximum airflow of 71.90 CFM with static pressure up to 3.30 mmH2O. The fans run at a noise level of up to 40 dB(A) and have a maximum power consumption of just 1.44W.

The Arctic Freezer 4U-M Rev. 2 is priced at €64.99 (approximately 497 RMB), while the Ampere Altera platform installation kit is available separately for €8.99 (approximately 68.8 RMB). This new cooler aims to meet the cooling needs of advanced server and workstation systems, ensuring high-performance operation.
