Phison Unveils Pascari D205V PCIe Gen5 SSD: 128TB, 14.6GB/s Speeds

Phison Electronics has officially introduced its latest innovation, the Pascari D205V PCIe Gen5 SSD, boasting an incredible 128TB storage capacity and read speeds up to 14,600 MB/s. This data-center-grade drive, designed to meet the demands of applications in AI, media, entertainment, and research, will be showcased at the SC24 conference and is now available for pre-order.

The Pascari D205V SSD delivers substantial advantages over traditional storage options, with up to four times the capacity of standard cold storage hard drives while significantly reducing both physical space requirements and operational costs (OPEX). The D205V is built with Phison’s advanced X2 controller and utilizes the latest 2Tb 3D QLC NAND technology, providing top-tier storage density and energy efficiency for data center use cases.

In terms of performance, the Pascari D205V offers twice the read speed of previous Gen4 SSDs, along with 3,000K IOPS for random reads, setting a new standard for high-performance storage solutions. This SSD's robust capacity allows data centers to handle larger datasets per server with optimized per-watt capacity utilization, making it an attractive option for enterprises looking to scale efficiently.

Phison’s Pascari D205V is expected to start shipping in Q2 of 2025 and will be available in both U.2 and E3.L form factors. This SSD provides a powerful solution for organizations looking to maximize data handling efficiency while minimizing physical footprint, positioning Phison at the forefront of next-gen storage innovation.
